Louise Penny and Mellissa Fung

at the Haskell Free Library and Opera House

The Last Mandarin

This past week, Louise Penny and Mellissa Fung welcomed three sold-out crowds to the Haskell Free Library and Opera House to discuss their new book, The Last Mandarin. And as if that weren’t exciting enough, the conversations were guided by three exceptional moderators: Lyse Doucet, Danny McAuley, and Paul Workman — making each event engaging, insightful, and memorable.

It’s hard to capture the energy and warmth of these remarkable gatherings in just a few photos, but Ben McAuley did a wonderful job behind the camera.

Happy reading, everyone!
