ABOUT THE BOOK: Zola Zemanovich is the dedicated police chief of her hometown of Bedford, Quebec, to which she returned after retiring from the Sûreté du Québec’s auto theft unit ten years earlier. Nowadays, she divides her time between her duties as the town’s only police officer and giving lessons at her riding stables, Equus.
