Author Michel Gagné was at Brome Lake Books on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 2 p.m., talking about his book: LA NATURE DES MOTS.

During the period of the pandemic, like many individuals, Michel found himself with a lot of available time on his hands. Following a diagnosis of cancer and health concerns, he naturally embarked upon a period of introspection regarding his life's journey.

Michel believes that one's existence persists beyond physical limitations, asserting that a person passes away not once, but twice: initially, when bodily functions stop, and subsequently, when memories of them fade. Through the narratives woven within his book and expressed through his artistry, he would like to prolong his presence, metaphorically, in the collective consciousness of others through his artwork and book.
